The Pont wardrobe stands out with its unique properties that combine compactness and functionality. Made of solid wood, MDF, and plywood, the cabinet features a matt varnish finish on the case and outer surface of the door, while the eaves and plinth are coated with gloss varnish. The niche is finished with white oak veneer, and a built-in lamp is installed on the upper surface of the niche. The wardrobe also includes niches for long and short mirrors, providing convenience and versatility.
Measuring 600mm in width, 600mm in depth, and 2100mm in height, the Pont wardrobe is designed to fit small sleeping areas perfectly. The recess in the cabinet serves as a comfortable bedside table, with the built-in light replacing the need for a desk lamp. The recess also offers additional charging outlets for gadgets, ensuring convenience and practicality.
Inside the wardrobe, there are two compartments with crossbars for organizing smaller and larger items of clothing. Below the compartments, two linen drawers provide storage for bedding and other essentials. The back of the door features a large mirror, allowing users to see themselves in full height.
The Pont wardrobe was created with the intention of balancing functionality, comfort, and compact size. It is a testament to the influence of Gio Ponti's work and the nostalgic mood of the 60s. This model, born spontaneously, pays tribute to Ponti's design philosophy while meeting the needs of modern living spaces.
The Pont wardrobe was designed and made in Moscow from November to December 2018. Its compact size and versatile functionality make it a perfect choice for small rooms, providing ample storage and serving as a stylish statement piece.
The Pont wardrobe, designed by Elena Zaznobina, was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category in 2019. This prestigious award recognizes the outstanding creativity and ingenuity of the design, as well as its contribution to improving the quality of life through art, science, design, and technology.
